All reviews of this journal, on Amazon and on Etsy have been five stars! Here are a few of them:
An Amazon.com review:
"I have been filling out this coloring journal. Opening it only for the happiest of journal entries. The pages are just lovely when colored in. It's perfect for those coloring fans out there who want something of a challenge and an accomplished piece worth framing."
Another Amazon.com reviewer:
"I am an artist, painting mostly landscapes with watercolor and pastel. I am also a therapist and bioenergetic healer. I started my art career as a child with coloring books and have continued to return to them from time to time for relaxation and creative fun without expectations. Coloring books reawaken the Golden Child in me. They also give me a chance to experiment easily with color themes and techniques. And, I like to choose images that inspire me like horses, birds, mandalas and Buddhist thankas. Not flowers so much. And yet, this is one of the best coloring books/journals I have ever used. The author is an artist and therapist too so her suggestions for coloring meditations, her pages for journaling and her artistic style with flowers that are both realistic and imaginary inspire me. I can tap into my own imagination with native or alternative colors and I have tried coloring background and leaving the images as shown on the cover illustration. That is an interesting experience. The author gives lots of good suggestions for coloring ideas. There are journal pages where you can write about your coloring experience, any grand thoughts that may arise as you work or whatever. For those of you who sometimes have trouble centering and quieting the monkey mind, coloring is perfect...you have something to do, it might even be useful, which quiets the work ethic, and yet you can easily enter into a centered place if you let your mind go and let your hand express your inner self. These designs are much like mandala drawing but in some ways better because you don't have to think about what you want to draw to express yourself. I've been working on a commision painting for 9 months that I just finished (flowers actually) and this coloring journal helped me relieve tensions and boredom that can come with a long project. It inspired me to finally finish so I can get on with other projects. You will love this coloring book journal. I'm going to suggest it to my clients, students and women in my spiritual studies group. Many Blessings, Jaqui"
